Ten Million Lights’ Fast Asleep featured on Podcasts

Mr. Atavist is at it again playing Throwing Spells on his Sunrise Ocean Bender show on WRIR radio.  You can listen to the podcast that includes tracks from other amazing artists like The Revolvers, The Asteroid #4 and some of our Portland, OR faves The Upsidedown and Pete International Airport (featuring Peter Holmstrom of The Dandy Warhols.)

Thanks again to Rob from Soundtrack 2 for featuring another song in his podcast.  Previously he played Still Point in Episode 48 and this time he included Fast Asleep in Episode 51 along with artists like Wooden Shjips, Atlas Sound, The Telescopes, Amusement Parks On Fire and more.

Ten Million Lights in Bagel Radio Top Albums of 2010

Ten Million Lights is excited to be included in Bagel Radio’s Top Albums of 2010 coming in at #31.  Looks like the record might have actually come in at #30 since Rogue Wave’s Permalight came in at #5 and #18 lol!

10ML song You Leave Me Hanging also came in at #20 in Bagel Radio’s Top Songs of 2010.  Thanks a ton to Ted for all his support!

Ten Million Lights to play Reverb Records Fuzzy Ball Festival

The Fuzzy Ball at Neumos in Seattle

Ten Million Lights is excited to be invited by Reverb Records to play The Fuzzy Ball on Dec. 16th at Neumos in Seattle, WA and Dec. 17th at the Wonder Ballroom in Portland, OR.  The Fuzzy Ball is a tribute to shoegaze and psychedelic rock and will feature many of the bands from the Songs From A Sonic Place compilation.

The lineups for the shows will differ slightly with the Seattle show including The Prids, Pete International Airport, The Purrs, The Upsidedown, This Blinding Light, Dazzling Strangers, C’est La Mort, Rick Bain & The Genius Position, Ten Million Lights, Joy Wants Eternity and DJ Shani Thunders, while the Portland show mixes in Hypatia Lake, Hawkeye, Happy Prescriptions, Go Fever, We Miss The Earth, and DJ Wednesday.

Ten Million Lights are excited that Reverb Records has included them in their new compilation called Songs From A Sonic Land.    The compilation features 10ML song Fast Asleep along with songs from amazing bands like The Raveonettes, A Place To Bury Strangers, Serena Maneesh, Ringo Deathstarr, Christian Bland (of The Black Angels), The Vandelles, The Rebel Drones (ex-Warlocks, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Dandy Warhols, Grails), The Dazzling Strangers (featuring members of Stratford 4), and tons more.  The Portland, OR based label also included a ton of our local favorite bands like The Prids, The Upsidedown, Hawkeye, Hypatia Lake, The Purrs, Rick Bain & The Genius Position, and Pete International Airport (featuring Peter Holmstrom of the Dandy Warhols).

Top 10 Albums of 2010 include Ten Million Lights

Ten Million Lights is very excited to be included in The Dumbing Of America’s Top 10 Albums of 2010, coming in at #7.  The list also included fellow Portland, OR band The Prids, coming in at #5 among bands like Crocodiles, The Black Angels, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and more.

Big thanks to Fede from Spain for sharing Ten Million Lights with the world on his blog Los Mundos De Fede.  He described the music as “Sonidos que combinan el electro-rock con percusiones y bases programadas, la psicodélia shoegazer y las guitarras distorsionadas.”
